About the Workshop
Organisations
are increasingly aware of the value of their information. With an increased
focus on customer intimacy, loyalty programmes, targeted marketing and
support programmes and much more, organisations must put their data to work
making better decisions. Organisations must understand how to identify and
classify decisions and how to assess the potential for BI to support and
improve those decisions. They need to understand the available technologies
and approaches and the long and short term costs and benefits of these. The
workshop will cover:
|
> |
The categorisation of
decisions and how to find the ones that matter to an organisation, its
profitability, its customers and more. |
|
> |
The different kinds of data
and how they can be analysed using technology such as reports,
visualisations and dashboards to help make data-driven decisions. |
|
> |
How more advanced data
techniques and technology add to the richness of the data you have by
turning uncertainty into probability. |
|
> |
The importance of feedback
and adaptive control in the continuous improvement of decisions and how
technology can assist. |
|
> |
A consideration of
decision support, decision automation and all points in between so that
architects can pick the right approach for their organisation for each
decision. |
|
> |
Organisational,
technological and methodological risk and issues and how to address them
in the context of a summary for the whole course to bring it all
together. |
