Cyber dance event Webcast to the world
BY STAFF WRITER
[ 7 December 2000 ] - Home-grown dance music talent will enjoy rare exposure to international listeners next week, when Jhblive.co.za Webcasts two hours of its Cyber Summer Party to the world.

Jhblive.co.za, which is touted as the "kickin' Jo'burg Culture Web site", in collaboration with Channel-E (a news and information streaming service under E-Data Holdings) hosts its Cyber Summer Party at "206" at 206 Louis Botha Avenue on Tuesday, 12 December.

With SA's top DJs live, in the mix and on the Net, the event is billed as a highlight in SA's clubbing yearbook. The broadcast, between 2pm and 4pm, is envisaged as the start of a strategy to highlight SA talent on the international dance scene.

Dale Imerman, founder and director of SweetSounds.co.za, an online resource for DJs and the dance industry, expects the move to boost the local music industry and record sales. The party will also commemorate the merger of its two organisers, Jhblive.co.za and SweetSounds.co.za.
