| If you know anything about Adam Sandler you will know that he has stereotyped himself into a character whose heart is always in the right place but gets put down by his peers either through his appearance or some sort of mental disability. |
All through his acting career he has played the guy down the street who no one likes but everyone sympathises with, and who at the end of the day becomes a hero and gets the girl.

Adam Sandler in Mr Deeds |
Many things in this movie reminds you about something familiar that you've seen in his other work, including crazy support actors like Rob Schneider with his repetitive line "You can do it", or the dumb delivery guy from Czechoslovakia, and Steve Buscemi, who is in this movie as an in-bred cross-eyed, Crazy Eyes. It also includes a walk in by John McEnroe, who shows some of his nature when he is on the court. The movie is about a radio tycoon who dies in an expedition to Mount Everest and leaves his empire to a distant relative, Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler), who lives in the small town of Mandrake Falls, and runs the local pizzeria.
